They have a kind of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby thing going on  (Crosby Quotes) With Crosby, stills, and Nash and Crosby, stills, nash, and Young... We’re very strong individuals, and we want our lives to be led the way we want them to  (Crosby Quotes) I love ‘White Christmas.’ That’s one of my favorites just because I love the music. I love the story, Bing Crosby. It’s just one of my all time favorites. And it’s hard to have a Christmas without seeing a little bit of Jimmy Stewart and angels running around town.  (Crosby Quotes) There will be no ‘Mommie Dearest’ in the lives of my children, and no books like the one the Crosby boy wrote about Bing, or Bette Davis’s daughter has written. My children love me very much, and they are loved.  (Crosby Quotes) A lot of people influenced me as I was learning but probably Bing Crosby was the most influential, because I would hear his Christmas albums, which my parents played a lot.  (Crosby Quotes) In all, I was in 16 movies, including ‘The Bishop’s Wife’ with Cary Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven; I was in ‘Rio Grande’ with John Wayne, ‘Albuquerque’ with Randall Scott, ‘Blue Skies’ with Bing Crosby and ‘Hans Christian Anderson’ with Danny Kaye.  (Crosby Quotes) I was always a fan of the old-style comics. I loved vaudeville. I loved Milton Berle, Dick Shawn, Phyllis Diller, Don Rickles, Charlie Callas, all those guys. Hilarious. I love the Bing Crosby and Bob Hope movies, and Abbott and Costello. My television influences were ‘Monty Python’s Flying Circus,’ ‘Benny Hill,’ and ‘Hee Haw.’  (Crosby Quotes) Bing Crosby and I weren’t the types to go around kissing each other. We always had a light jab for each other. One of our stock lines used to be There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for Bing, and there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for me. And that’s the way we go through life - doing nothing for each other!  (Crosby Quotes) It’s not like I’m the first man ever to do this, y’know? You gotta go back to Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby and Sammy Davis Jr. Those are people who’ve done music well and movies well, and y’know, Frank Sinatra and Elvis and all these dudes have made the transition. I don’t know about Elvis, ‘bout doin’ ‘em good, y’know? It’s nothin’ new.  (Crosby Quotes) What happened was, I always wanted to be a singer/songwriter kind of guy like a James Taylor or Crosby, Stills and Nash type of thing; I went to a lot of coffee houses and used to watch all those guys, but I never had the nerve to get up and do it because singing seems so personal and intimate to me. It was too revealing.  (Crosby Quotes) Hope and Crosby made seven ‘Road’ movies, starting in 1940 with ‘Road to Singapore.’ The movies were always about Crosby and Hope fleeing America and finding Dorothy Lamour in some exotic location. Bob’s character was cocky and cowardly; Bing’s character was smooth and unruffled. They were great characters - lousy, lovable guys.  (Crosby Quotes) I remember hanging out at Starbucks. There were these older guys who would sit around and play Crosby, Stills and Nash songs. I was just so in love with music. I would just go hang out with them, and I would try to sing and harmonize with them. I didn’t even know the songs.  (Crosby Quotes)
