Hiding from his bath. Fail
Hiding from his bath. Fail
Hiding from his bath. Fail. The sound of running water echoed through the house as I called out to my son, "It's time for your bath, buddy!" There was no response, just the faint sound of shuffling coming from his room. I sighed, knowing all too well what was about to happen. My son had a knack for avoiding bath time like it was the plague.
I made my way to his room, already anticipating the sight of him hiding under his bed or in his closet. Sure enough, as I opened the door, I saw him crouched in the corner behind his toy chest, a mischievous grin on his face. "Come on, buddy, it's just a bath. It'll be quick," I coaxed, trying to sound as convincing as possible.
But my son was not easily swayed. He shook his head vigorously, his curly hair bouncing with each movement. "No bath, no bath!" he repeated, his voice rising in defiance. I tried to reason with him, explaining the importance of staying clean and how much better he would feel afterwards. But he was having none of it.
I could feel my frustration mounting as I tried to coax him out of his hiding spot. I even tried to bribe him with his favorite toy or a special treat after the bath, but he remained stubbornly planted in his corner. It was clear that this battle of wills was not going to end anytime soon.
After what felt like an eternity of pleading and bargaining, I finally resorted to gently pulling him out from behind the toy chest. He squirmed and protested, but I managed to scoop him up in my arms and carry him to the bathroom. He put up a good fight, but in the end, he knew he couldn't escape the inevitable.
As I lowered him into the warm water, he let out a dramatic sigh, as if he was being subjected to some great injustice. But as he splashed and played with his bath toys, I couldn't help but smile at his antics. Despite his best efforts to avoid it, bath time always ended up being a fun and enjoyable experience for both of us. And as I watched him happily splashing around, I knew that this little game of hide and seek was just a part of our nightly routine that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world.
