If I just keep looking cute they'll surely blame the dog
As I sat on the couch, watching my dog chew up my favorite pair of shoes, a mischievous thought crossed my mind. "If I just keep looking cute, they'll surely blame the dog," I thought to myself with a sly grin. It was a risky move, but I was willing to take my chances.I quickly straightened up my posture, smoothed down my hair, and flashed my most innocent smile as my parents walked into the room. They immediately noticed the mess on the floor and the guilty look on my dog's face. I could see the frustration building in their eyes as they scolded him for his misbehavior.
I played my part perfectly, pretending to be just as shocked and dismayed as they were. I even went as far as to pat my dog on the head and tell him it was okay, all the while knowing that I was the real culprit behind the destroyed shoes.
As my parents cleaned up the mess and lectured my dog on the importance of not chewing on things that didn't belong to him, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt. But then I remembered the look of sheer joy on my dog's face as he tore into my shoes, and I knew that he was just as much to blame as I was.
