I'm exhausted by how stupid everyone is getting. It seems like every day, I encounter more and more people who lack basic common sense and critical thinking skills. From the person who cuts me off in traffic without using their turn signal to the coworker who can't seem to grasp simple instructions, it feels like I'm constantly surrounded by incompetence. The rise of social media and the internet has only exacerbated this issue. With the spread of misinformation and fake news, it's becoming increasingly difficult to separate fact from fiction. People seem more willing than ever to believe whatever aligns with their preconceived notions, rather than taking the time to research and verify information.
I find myself constantly frustrated by the lack of intellectual curiosity and critical thinking in society. It's as if people have become complacent, content to accept whatever is spoon-fed to them without question. This blind acceptance of information without scrutiny is dangerous and can have far-reaching consequences.
In my personal and professional life, I see the effects of this lack of critical thinking on a daily basis. From colleagues who make poor decisions based on faulty information to friends who fall for scams and hoaxes, it's clear that the ability to think critically is sorely lacking in many individuals.
I often feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle, trying to educate and inform those around me about the importance of critical thinking. It's exhausting to constantly be the voice of reason in a sea of ignorance and misinformation. But I refuse to give up. I will continue to challenge those around me to think critically, question everything, and seek out the truth.
