Text Quotes
Photography has definitely been my favorite way to remember things. At least for me that’s how my brain processes things, of memories or moments.  (Photography Quotes) I always thought of photography as a naughty thing to do - that was one of my favorite things about it, and when I first did it, I felt very perverse.  (Photography Quotes) Painting and photography keep the creative channel open, and for an actor, it’s to keep alive, it’s to keep awake, it’s to keep watching, it’s to keep feeling, it’s to keep enjoying, to keep that sensuality of feeling alive.  (Photography Quotes) All aspects of photography interest me and I feel for the female body the same curiosity and the same love as for a landscape, a face or anything else which interests me. In any case, the nude is a form of landscape. There are no reasons for my photographs, nor any rules; all depends on the mood of the moment, on the mood of the model.  (Photography Quotes) Seeing lesbian photography is just the tip of my radicalized clitoris. I have modeled for, commissioned, published, and fought for these pictures, and answered threats against them. I’ve seen the feminist movement bring these pictures to life, and I’ve seen that same movement try to suppress the liberating results.  (Photography Quotes) Men have dominated the field of landscape photography just as they have dominated the land itself. Thus shooting a virgin landscape has been man’s work - hunting, not gardening.  (Photography Quotes) I love writing, directing and photography; if I could figure out a way to put the three things together, that’s what I would love to do.  (Photography Quotes) I worked a little as a messenger on a bicycle and then decided to study photography and film  (Photography Quotes) A lot of people want to make films and do photography and things, but I’m quite happy doing what I’m doing.  (Photography Quotes) Those involved in the program are interested in how to use photography, videos, the Internet, film, and anything related to communications and transmission of information in the most up-to-date modern ways.  (Photography Quotes) When we started in the early 60s, football had a little bit of a tradition. But, they didn’t have a mythology. And NFL Films, through our music and our scripts and our photography, created a mythology for the sport.  (Photography Quotes) In terms of digital photography, I continue to print and use film for the most part. I still shoot with film, 21/4 film specifically, and I love it. I love it because I know what it does, how it really responds to light.  (Photography Quotes) See, a painting is much cheaper than making a film. And photography is, you know, way cheap. So if I get an idea for a film, there are many ways to get it together and go realise that film. There’s really nothing to be afraid of.  (Photography Quotes) When I started working in film, I loved photography, I loved the image, I loved telling the story within a frame, but as I started playing around with film and video, it was like, ‘Oh my God.’ You just have so much more to play with.  (Photography Quotes) The only advantage of the CD is that you have a booklet that can tell a bit of a story, but the little covers are just boring. I love vinyl, and I have loads of it. It’s the same thing as digital photography versus film photography. It’s a quality thing.  (Photography Quotes) I don’t want to knock photography, and I don’t feel that film is up there but photography isn’t. I think they’re next to each other really, you know. There’s an incredible strength to a still picture. Or there can be an incredible strength to a still picture that can outlive you. That can outlive a film.  (Photography Quotes) I became passionate about nature filmmaking when I graduated from UCLA, and one of the things I always wanted to do was shoot really high quality film, so I got into time-lapse photography - so that means when you shoot a flower, you’re shooting, like, one frame every twenty minutes, so that’s basically two seconds of a film per day.  (Photography Quotes) You don’t have to shoot the film in the first couple days of principal photography  (Photography Quotes) It’s always seemed to me that photography tends to deal with facts whereas film tends to deal with fiction.  (Photography Quotes) I don’t think I treat my film work as an extension of my photography. There are two different sets of rules there.  (Photography Quotes) It might be more useful, if not necessarily more true, to think of photography as a narrow, deep area between the novel and film.  (Photography Quotes) The fact that few painter-fine-artists used photography in their work made it appealing  (Photography Quotes) When I first became interested in photography, I thought it was the whole cheese. My idea was to have it recognized as one of the fine arts. Today I don’t give a hoot in hell about that. The mission of photography is to explain man to man and each man to himself.  (Photography Quotes) Poetry is my first love. Photography often fails to look into things. It looks at things. Poetry is so much more truthful.  (Photography Quotes) Woman on the Plaza,’ with its distinct horizon, snow-like surfaces, wintry wall, stunning sunlight, sharp shadows, and hurrying figure, would become the most biographical of my photographs - an abstract image of the landscape and life of northern Ohio where I grew up and first practiced photography.  (Photography Quotes) I would say that the emblematic photographic image is a picture from inside a room looking out. I think this defines photography. It’s the metaphor for the notion of first sight. What one saw first.  (Photography Quotes) I discovered that this camera was the technical means in photography of communicating what the world looks like in a state of heightened awareness. And it’s that awareness of really looking at the everyday world with clear and focused attention that I’m interested in.  (Photography Quotes) If acting doesn’t work out, I plan to do food photography and just eat my way through the entire world. I’m a big foodie, and if I could make some career out of it, that would be fantastic.  (Photography Quotes) On many days my primary artistic struggle is, in fact, photography because it is harder to do good work with that. I see myself as an observer of the world who has a strong drive to testify, which I can do because I have the privilege of living in New York with enough food to eat and shelter.  (Photography Quotes) In photography, the issue of the integration of form and content is exceptionally difficult because of the widely held belief that photographs must be a kind of vicarious experience of the subject itself.  (Photography Quotes)
