In the hit TV show "Parks and Recreation," Leslie Knope is known for her boundless energy and unwavering dedication to her job as the Deputy Director of the Parks and Recreation Department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. So when her best friend and colleague, Ann Perkins, is found asleep for 22 hours straight, it's definitely cause for concern. The episode begins with Leslie arriving at Ann's house to find her friend passed out on the couch, surrounded by empty takeout containers and a half-eaten pint of ice cream. Concerned, Leslie tries to wake Ann up, but she remains unresponsive. Leslie calls for backup in the form of her coworkers, Ron Swanson and Tom Haverford, who are equally puzzled by Ann's prolonged slumber.
As the hours tick by, Leslie becomes increasingly worried about Ann's well-being. She tries everything to wake her up, from shaking her shoulders to blasting an air horn in her ear, but nothing seems to work. At one point, Ann stirs and mumbles something incoherent, giving Leslie hope that she's finally waking up. But just as quickly as she appeared to be coming to, Ann drifts back into a deep sleep.
As Leslie and the gang brainstorm possible explanations for Ann's extended nap, they come to the realization that she may be suffering from exhaustion and burnout. Ann has been working tirelessly at the hospital and juggling her personal life, leaving her with little time to rest and recharge. Leslie feels guilty for not noticing the signs earlier and vows to help her friend find a better work-life balance.
