I guess that my favorites are the unique ones. It’s not how fast you play. It’s that unique blending of different stuff I’m most proud of  (Song Quotes) When a song gets its legs and begins to come to me, this is the euphoric hook that keeps me wanting to continue  (Song Quotes) So, once I’ve written a song, you know, I’m pretty happy with what the song is on its own terms  (Song Quotes) Morrissey wrote a really gorgeous song for me. So I’m always trying to stay awake to be in the moment, and capture the moments when they come, because they come and go all the time  (Song Quotes) Because my musical training has been limited, I’ve never been restricted by what technical musicians might call a song  (Song Quotes) The main objective in any song, the songs that I write, has always been that it reflect the way I feel, that it touch me when I’m finished with it, that it moves me, that it can take me along with it and involve me in what its saying  (Song Quotes) You can’t plan to write a great song. It just happens to you. It drops in your lap. It’s the same thing with a woman  (Song Quotes) I won’t deny a song or a melody. I can’t deny it  (Song Quotes) I’m the same guy at that podium preaching to the people on every single song. I’m not doing a dance for you on another song.
