The biggest obstacle to happiness is under valuing what you have, and over valuing what others have

Happiness is a state of mind that is often elusive to many people. We live in a society that constantly bombards us with messages that we need to have more in order to be happy. We are told that we need the latest gadgets, the trendiest clothes, the biggest house, and the most luxurious vacations in order to truly experience happiness. This constant pressure to keep up with the Joneses can lead us to undervalue what we already have and overvalue what others have.

When we focus too much on what we don't have, we fail to appreciate the blessings that are already present in our lives. We may have a loving family, good health, a stable job, and a roof over our heads, but if we are constantly comparing ourselves to others who seem to have more, we will never feel truly content. This mindset of always wanting more can lead to feelings of inadequacy, jealousy, and unhappiness.

On the other hand, when we place too much importance on what others have, we are setting ourselves up for disappointment. We may see someone on social media living what appears to be a perfect life, with a glamorous job, a beautiful partner, and exotic vacations, and feel envious of their seemingly perfect existence. However, we fail to realize that what we see on social media is often a curated version of reality, and that everyone has their own struggles and challenges.
