Text Quotes
Miramax can buy a small independent movie that isn’t very good, but because it has great relationships with different theaters, it can get into a big theater.  (Theater Quotes) While I was growing up all over, in all my different schools, I was always doing theater, auditioning for plays.  (Theater Quotes) I was involved with my theater program in high school, and I was involved in a festival where I could audition for a lot of different schools.  (Theater Quotes) Opera combines pretty basic theater and poetry, but the storyline itself is actually quite poetic and, after some digital research, taking that actual content and seeing it as undeniably poetic.  (Theater Quotes) The menu should be part of the entertainment, part of the dining experience. It’s kind of like reading the ‘Playbill’ when you go to the theater. It should be an alluring and interactive document. Does it have burn marks on it from the candle? If you ever get a greasy menu with food stains on it, it’s time to run like hell.  (Theater Quotes) The oldest form of theater is the dinner table. It’s got five or six people, new show every night, same players. Good ensemble; the people have worked together a lot.  (Theater Quotes) I remember I made $22 a week doing dinner theater in Norfolk, Virginia. Back then, in the 70s, that was pretty good for a teenager, for a part-time job.  (Theater Quotes) I love Chicago, but in a lot of ways it’s a disappointment. You can work there for years and years, and because you’re in Chicago, you don’t get the recognition. It has some of the best theater in the country, but when they shoot a movie there, they bring in all their actors.  (Theater Quotes) Before discovering theater, I was sloughing off and didn’t have any passion for school. Then I couldn’t get enough. All of a sudden, I was getting good parts in all of these plays. I just loved it. I started getting A’s in acting, directing and technical theater. I found something that clicked.  (Theater Quotes) I know why people lie to themselves in life, but I’ll never understand the appeal of the dishonest theater where the actor doesn’t make some earnest attempt to include their own honest humanity in their collaboration with an author. It’s so ugly to me that it hurts sometimes to see it happen.  (Theater Quotes) I didn’t take theater or anything. We didn’t have a very good theater program. It was in western Utah - was a really small school. It wasn’t developed. We didn’t have the funds to do anything like that, but I did act all through high school in films because Disney Channel would shoot movies out there.  (Theater Quotes) I think for me with theater, I need to take a break and then fall in love with it again. And then go do it again.  (Theater Quotes) Like the theater, offering food and hospitality to people is a matter of showmanship, and no matter how simple the performance, unless you do it well, with love and originality, you have a flop on your hands.  (Theater Quotes) I don’t know, I’d love to try some theater. That’s my other thing. I’d love to do some Shakespeare.  (Theater Quotes) Look, I’m 40, I’m single, and I work in musical theater - you do the math!  (Theater Quotes) Look, I’m over 40, I’m single, and I work in musical theater - you do the math!  (Theater Quotes) I was obsessed with romance. When I was in high school, I saw ‘Doctor Zhivago’ every day from the day it opened until the day it left the theater.  (Theater Quotes) I think you fall out of love with theater while you’re doing your eighth show of your eighteenth week and your body is saying, Please make this end.  (Theater Quotes) When I was a freshman, I didn’t have that much time for extra-curriculars, so I didn’t do any theater stuff. Actually, I didn’t do it with my school. I did theater with this thing called Teen Source.  (Theater Quotes) I did an internship in the Silicon Valley during the Internet boom. I couldn’t imagine sitting in a cubicle the rest of my life, so I gave acting a try. I would have been happy doing theater and making nothing.  (Theater Quotes) The hardest thing in the world to do is to have someone in a seat in a theater laughing so hard that they’re making weird sounds.  (Theater Quotes) I absolutely hated ‘Gattaca.’ I left the theater shaking my head because the science in the film was just terrible. No genetic test will ever tell you how many heartbeats you have left. No genetic test will ever be more accurate in telling an employer how well you’ll do at a job than your performance at a past job would be.  (Theater Quotes) I don’t look back. I look forward and plan new shows. That’s really feeding the most important part of working in the theater.  (Theater Quotes) I remember sitting in the theater watching ‘Bridesmaids,’ and I’m doubled over laughing, and then I’m crying in the same movie. It’s the overwhelming feeling, as I’m looking up and seeing these women, and I’m realizing how rare it is to see that.  (Theater Quotes) After that, I started going downtown and doing a lot of theater shows in Chicago. When you go downtown there, it’s like you’re in New York, it’s like going to Broadway.  (Theater Quotes) For me, I can’t live without acting or drama and writing - I also run a theater company  (Theater Quotes) I worked in theater my whole life. My mom was a drama teacher at my middle school. In high school, I was Drama Club President every year, and then I auditioned for conservatory acting programs.  (Theater Quotes) I acted in high school and studied at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford for one summer. I minored in theater, and I was always acting growing up, but really, I was just more interested in the comedy of it all.  (Theater Quotes) I know I’m as comfortable doing period as I am contemporary. I suppose we grow up with it in a sense, in the theater. We get to put on costumes and play a lot of period dramas or plays so we’re exposed to it a little bit more I think because of our theatrical background.  (Theater Quotes) I acted in high school and studied at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford for one summer. I minored in theater, and I was always acting growing up and stuff, but really, I was just more interested in the comedy of it all. So for me, it’s always comedy, and then acting is just one medium of comedy.  (Theater Quotes)
