This is how I act when I see a spider
When I see a spider, my immediate reaction is a mix of fear and disgust. The sight of those eight-legged creatures sends shivers down my spine and makes my skin crawl. I know that spiders are generally harmless and even beneficial in controlling insect populations, but that knowledge does little to quell my irrational fear.My first instinct when I see a spider is to freeze in place and assess the situation. I try to determine the size and location of the spider, as well as its proximity to me. If the spider is small and far away, I may muster up the courage to simply ignore it and go about my business. However, if the spider is large or too close for comfort, my fight or flight response kicks in.
