Paul Theroux, a renowned travel writer, once famously said, “Travel is glamorous only in retrospect.” This statement encapsulates the idea that while traveling may seem exciting and glamorous in the moment, it is often only when looking back on the experience that one truly appreciates its value and significance.

When we think of travel, we often envision exotic destinations, luxurious accommodations, and exciting adventures. We imagine ourselves exploring new cultures, trying new foods, and meeting interesting people. In these moments, travel can indeed seem glamorous and exhilarating.
